Norwegian offshore vessels operator Havila Shipping ASA issued its year-end report on Wednesday (4 February), posting an operating profit of NOK641.5m, as compared to NOK397.1m in 2007. The result was boosted by NOK311.8m in gains from asset sales, as compared to NOK146.8m in the previous year. Total revenues for the year, including gains from asset sales, amounted to NOK1,122.5m, up from NOK675.3m in 2007. Havila Shipping, headquartered in Fosnavaag in Norway, provides maritime support functions for the offshore oil and gas industry. The company operates 14 ships.
