Draft of the canal DANUBE - BLACK SEA attained 5,85 m The state enterprise "Delta-lotsman pilot" provided the greatest draft for all time of the canal "Danube - Black sea" functioning - 5,85 m.
The press-service of Ministry of transport and communications has reported about it.
Thus, the planned depth which ships will pass on is attained. Before, after the canal was opened in 2004 the draft made 5 m, and in 2007, after renewal of canal navigation - 4,5 m.
Increase of draft happened within the framework of the first stage of realization of canal "Danube - Black sea" renewal project.
