Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 3.1% to 36.32 mln t in QI'13

In January-March 2013, seaports of Ukraine handled 36.32 mln t of cargo (-3.1%, year-on-year), State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs.

In the 3-month period, transshipment of import cargo increased by 5.8% to 4.31 mln t, export – down 1%, transit – down 13.6%.

Throughput of Ukraine’s river ports fell by 21.2% to 445,100 tonnes.

Transshipment of import cargo in river ports increased by 82.8% to 60,700 tonnes, export – down 29.9% to 211,000 tonnes, inland freight traffic – down 24.8% to 173,400 tonnes.
