RF President Vladimir Putin announced the support of private investors as well as state plans to create a new port on the Taman Peninsula.
“It is clear (or at any rate, it is clear to me) that we will have to support private investors, and we will have to realise our plans to create a large, state-of-the-art port there”, Vladimir Putin said in Kremlin when discussing the projects on the development of port infrastructure on the Taman Peninsula, the meeting records say.
As IAA PortNews reported earlier, the project on creation of a new dry cargo district in port Taman (Taman Peninsula) under the federal special-purpose programme Transport System Development. The port is to handle 94 mln t of cargo per year). As of today, there appeared a pool of large investors willing to build transshipment complexes in the new port.
