Damen developed conceptual design for Arctic class LNG-powered vessel

International shipyard group Damen has developed a conceptual design for an Arctic class LNG-powered vessel, IAA PortNews journalist cites Mike Besijn, Sales Manager at Damen Shipyards, as saying at the Adam Smith Conference “Russian Arctic Oil and Gas” in Moscow.

When speaking about the cost of modern Arctic vessels, Mike Besijn noted that a simple supply vessel costs from EUR 180 mln.

Now, Damen Shipyards has a leading position in shipbuilding with more than 6,000 employees and a presence in 35 countries.  Since 1969 Damen Shipyards has delivered more than 5,000 vessels.
