Stevedores blame North-Caucasus Railway for limited unloading of wagons at port Tuapse
North-Caucasus Railway does not undertake measures aimed at improved unloading of wagons at port Tuapse, Tuapse Commercial Seaport told IAA PortNews when commenting on the situation with limited loading of coal destined for the port.
Russian Railways says it had to introduce 50-pct limit for loading of coal towards Tuapse from July 22 till July 31, 2014 due to under-performance at the port. In July, average daily unloading was 120 wagons while the norm is 140 wagons. “Restrictions will be lifted on August 1 and the flow will increase”, Russian Railways says.
Meanwhile, Tuapse Commercial Seaport told IAA PortNews that unloading was limited because of the natural disaster in Tuapse while the railway does not fulfill the activities planned for Q2’14.
It should be noted that the port’s throughput is likely to lose 115,000 t of coal in July-August 2014.
