Name-giving ceremony held for LNG carrier Pskov
Name-giving ceremony has been held for LNG carrier Pskov at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding (S. Korea), says Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The Pskov is the second in the series of four membrane-type gas carriers of 170,000 cubic meters being built by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd under technical supervision of RS. The vessel was ordered by Sovcomflot OJSC for Gazprom Global LNG with RS/Lloyd Register dual class. RS class notation: KM (*)Ice2 AUT1 OMBO EPP ANTI-ICE LI CCO ECO-S WINTERIZATION(-30) Gas carrier type 2G (methane).
The head vessel Velikiy Novgorod was launched on January 15, 2013. The Pskov will be delivered to the customer on August 29, 2014. On her maiden voyage the Pskov will sail from Nakhodka to Incheon (Republic of Korea).
