Amendments introduced into federal project on construction of deepwater port in Baltijsk (Kaliningrad region)

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a Decree on introduction of amendments into the federal special-purpose programme “Development of Russia’s Transport System (2010–2020)”, RF Government press center says.

According to the Decree, the project on construction of a deepwater port in Baltijsk (Kaliningrad region) should be named “Construction of sea port infrastructure at seaport Kaliningrad”.
The project’s first phase valued at RUB 8.5 bln implies the construction of an international passenger terminal with a yacht marina in Pionersky (Kaliningrad region). The second phase estimated at RUB 400 mln implies the construction of a deepwater port near Yantarny.

The same Decree approves reallocation of the federal resources for overall financing of the project on the construction of port Sabetta on the Yamal peninsula including the creation of an approach canal in the Ob.

The Decree had been elaborated by the Ministry of Transport.
