No new port facilities required at RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II for Primorsk-Vysotsk pipeline
No new port facilities are required at RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II to accept oil products delivered by Primorsk-Vysotsk pipeline, the terminal told IAA PortNews when commenting on the launche of new pipeline scheduled for November 2015.
“Two tanks are required for oil products delivered by new pipeline. However, cargo supplied by the pipeline will have the same quality as that which comes by railway so we are going to use the same tanks to store it,” the terminal representative said.
The terminal expects export shipments of oil products via RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II to increase from 2015. Final decision on possible reduction of railway supplies with the launch of new pipeline has not been taken by Lukoil authorities yet
As it was announced earlier, oil product pipeline from port Primorsk to RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II (Leningrad region) will become operational from November 2015. The capacity of the pipeline will be 1.5 mln t of diesel fuel per year.
Marine export terminal RPK-Vysotsk-Lukoil-II OJSC is owned by Russia’s largest private oil company LUKOIL OJSC. In 2013, the volume of oil products shipped from the terminal increased by 9%, year-on-year, to 11.3 mln t.
