Container Terminal of PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group or the Group, LSE: NCSP, Moscow Exchange: NMTP) on March 4, 2015 handled the first 5000teu container ship sailing on the new Maersk Line's direct ocean service AE3 from the Asia-Pacific Region to the Black Sea, the Group said Friday in a press release.
The line operator deployed on the weekly service 14 (5,000teu) Panamax and Post-Panamax containerships. The AE3 port rotations: Yokohama – Nagoya – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantyan – Singapore - Novorossiysk.
General Director of NCSP Sultan Batov commented: "The launch of a new product, ocean service AE3 of Maersk Line, with direct connection of Asian ports to Novorossiysk, provides an opportunity to expand trade ties with China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other countries of the Far East to ensure firm schedule, wide coverage, direct calls and internationally recognized reliability and of course the best in the industry transcontinental container traffic. Vessels involved in the new service AE3 of Maersk Line, are the longest ever docked at the port of Novorossiysk.”
