State-owned oil company Rosneft has finalized the acquisition of the Murmansk region based 82nd Shiprepair Yard, a Murmansk officials said Thursday at the annual international conference "Transport and logistics in the Arctic-2015", IAA PortNews correspondent reports.
The Minister of Transport and Roads of the Murmansk region Dmitry Sosnin added that Rosneft has commenced conversion of the dockyard that was specializing in ship repair and maintenance.
Sosnin also said that the project of "Karmorneftegaz" intended for providing support of coastal drilling operations in the licensed block "Vostochno-Prinovozemelsky-1" was shelved due to negative external environment, and that the company will be ready to resume the project in a more favorable situation.
According to the Russian government's order, February 18, 2015 (№243-p) the coastal supply base for offshore projects of Rosneft will be located at the site of the 82 Shiprepair Dockyard (JSC "82 SRZ", Roslykovo, Murmansk region).
