On April 12, Rosmorport’s railway ferry complex at port Kaliningrad accepted and handled ferryboat Ambal, the 1,000th ferry from the launch of the complex in 2007, press center of FSUE Rosmorport says.
From the date when the railway ferry complex was put into operation by the Kaliningrad department of the North West Basin Branch, it handled almost 36,200 units of wheeled and caterpillar vehicles; over 83,400 rail cars and serviced nearly 26,200 passengers.
Total volume of loading/unloading operations over the 8-year period made almost 7 mln t.
Today, the complex services the following rail ferry lines: Ust-Luga-Baltijsk, Ust-Luga-Baltijsk- Sassnitz–Ust-Luga. Ambal, Baltijsk and Peterburg ferryboats operate at the lines.
