Experts expect “free port” status of port Vladivostok to boost GRP of Primorye 3.4 times by 2034
Law drafters expect “free port” status of port Vladivostok to boost gross regional product of Primorsky Territory 1.7 times to RUB 1.106 trillion by 2021 (against 2015), 2.2 times to RUB 1.402 trillion by 2025 and 3.4 times to RUB 2.157 trillion by 2034, says press center of the regional authorities.
On June 2015, RF Government Committee for legislative drafting activities approved the Bills on Free Port Vladivostok. RF Government will consider the Bill on Free Port on June 4, 2015.
GRP growth of Primorje to make RUB 470.1 bln by 2021, RUUB 766.2 bln by 2025, RUB 1.521 trillion by 2034.
The number of new jobs is to reach 84,700 by 2021, 108,000 – by 2025, 468,500 – by 2034.
GRP growth of the Far East Federal District can grow by 34% to RUB 1.97 trillion by 2025.
According to Primorsky Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, the creation of the Free Port will let improve the logistics and transport communication between Russia and Asia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called on granting “free port” status to Vladivostok during his Annual Address to the Federal Assembly of Russia On December 4, 2014. Vladimir Putin offered to establish easy customs regime at the port of Vladivostok.
