This year the federal program "Development of Transport System of Russia (2010-2015) has started. In this regard, the emphasis in the field of maritime transport will be placed on the construction of new vessels, Igor Levitin, Russian Minister of Transport said speaking today at a general meeting of the Union of Russian Shipowners (URSO), the press service of the Transport Ministry reports.

"The upcoming five years should be a breakthrough in this area, particularly in view of establishing of the United Shipbuilding Corporation", Mr. Levitin said.
