Employees of the Northwest Regional Center (NWRC) of Emergency Ministry on Sunday, January 31, rescued 28 fishermen in two districts of the Leningrad region. The emergency teams used hovercrafts to rescue the people were blown offshore on the ice in the Gulf, Novosti RIA reports.

Emergencies Ministry officers have warned those engaged in ice fishing that it is currently too dangerous.
