China Shipping Container Lines has predicted that it will see lower profits for 2009 as compared to the 130.58m Yuan ($19.5m) it declared in 2008. The declaration, posted on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, did not divulge any additional information about the company’s expected bottom line. The pessimistic outlook has been credited to the global economic downturn that hit container shipping particularly hard over the past year.
