Cargo turnover of MMFP grows by 9.3%, to 11.700 tons this January

Murmansk Marine Fishing Port (MMFP) has had a 9.3% growth in January 2010, as much as 11.700 tons compared with the same period last year, assistant for General Director of MMFP Anton Artemyev said in his interview with the local TV-21 channel.

"We’re now expecting the first deliveries of capelin. According to preliminary requests, in February the fishermen are going to deliver 24-25.000 tones of the fish. The Murmansk fleet’s ships have already begun fishing, the rest of the Murmansk companies are heading for the place of fishing.  Murmansk Fish Processing Plant is ready for processing of Norwegian capelin,” Mr. Artemyev said.

Murmansk Marine Fishing Port specializes in handling cargoes from fishing vessels, mother ships and reefers. Russian Government’s Federal Agency for Federal Property Management and Russia Federal Property Fund hold 100% stake in MMFP JSC. The company’s throughput in 2009 amounted to 255.000 tons of fish products.
