Alexander Misharin, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region meeting with Transport Minister Igor Levitin said that investments in the "Euro-Asian International transport and logistics center" project had totaled 397 million rubles, the Transport Ministry press service reports.

As of now, the region’s top official said, a design and estimate documentation have been developed. Besides, a container terminal of annual capacity of 50.000 TEUs and the first model warehousing complex on the area of 10.000 sq.m have been built.

Earlier reports said that in accordance with the Russian government’s strategic plans the Sverdlovsk region will become one of the largest country’s freight and logistics hub with "Euro-Asian International transport - logistics center as its core element.
