Rosmorport invites bids for dredging contract, to maintain harborage of the Big Port this year

Federal Rosmorport announced it invites bids for contract to carry out maintenance and dredging in the harborage of the Big Port of St. Petersburg. The dredging is scheduled for the summer navigation in 2010, the Rosmorport press office said.

The results are to be announced on March 5. The company that wins bidding for contract will be picked will be carrying out maintenance works from May through October this year. The contract cost estimated at 40.554.916 rubles.

The Port of St. Petersburg is located in the Neva Bay, in the eastern tip of the Gulf of Finland. The territory of the port includes the Neva River delta and the Neva Bay, Kronstadt and the dam structures of St. Petersburg. The port operates icebreakers during winter navigation ensuring pilotage service. There are some 30 stevedoring companies operating at the port.
