Tuapse Port Authority says grain terminal throughput to ensure exports by regional grain producers

The just-launched grain terminal complex at the port of Tuapse (TCSP JSC) is capable to handle volumes enough to ensure growing exports by regional producers of grain. The new terminal facilities will be operated more effectively, the Tuapse Commercial Sea Port Authority said at the ceremony of the new terminal of capacity of 2.4 million tons a year.

Top officials attended the opening ceremony at Tuapse port, including the first vice-premier Viktor Zubkov, Vladimir Ustinov, President Medvedev’s envoy to the Southern Russia, Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev, Vladimir Lisin, the TCSP major stockholder, other officials and businessmen.

The terminal is capable of handling 55-DWT vessels. Grain storage capacity of the complex is 102.000 tons. The terminal project cost over 1.8 billion rubles.

Tuapse Commercial Sea Port JSC (TCSP) is the main operator of one of the largest ports in Russia, the seaport of Tuapse. Universal Cargo Logistics Holding BV (UCLH) holds 69.52% stake in TCSP JSC.
