Vostochny port data filed in the Russian Register of Seaports

By the order of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of the RF Ministry of Transport (RosMorRechFlot) of November 13h, 2009 (N AD-227-p) the data of the seaport of Vosthochny was filed in the Russian Register of Seaports. The port of Vostochny was assigned a serial registration N T-1, East branch of RosMorPort said.

Vostochny (East) Port is the largest deep-sea port in the Far East of Russia. It is located on the shores of unfreezing Wrangel Bay of the Japan Sea near the village of Vostochny to the south of Primorsky Territory, 30 km east of Nakhodka. The annual port’s throughput exceeds 18 million tons of cargoes. The VP operates 19 berths 4.7 km in length and depths ranging from 6.5 to 16.5 m. The port’s portfolio of assets includes one of Russia's largest container terminal and a coal terminal and developed warehousing facilities. The Vostochny Port handles chemicals (fertilizers, methanol) and timber cargo. Its deep waters allow 150-dwt vessels calling at the port.  

Russian Ministry of Transport in its order dated April 1st, 2009 N 51 "On approval of the Register of seaports of Russia" Rosmorrechflot was entrusted to keep a register of seaports of Russia. The seaports Register includes all information of port location, its opening date, portfolio of assets, port’s services and the list of operators at its marine terminals, the main technical characteristics, including its handling facilities capacity, maintenance of vessels and (or) passenger service; navigation period, etc.
