Oil spill at Illichevsk Port, shipowner blamed to pay $ 260.000

The Port Authority blamed shipowner of a Turkish-flagged Kefre vessel for oil spill in Sukhoi estuary waters at Illichevsk CSP (Odessa region, Ukraine).

The North-West Black Sea Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine said it would claim 2.100.928 hryvnia (some $260.000) for oil pollution.  The emergency response service said oil spill occurred in the vicinity of the Illichevsk Port’s pier N15.
