EFCO, RusAgroTrans deal on a grain terminal in Taman port

Belgorod EFCO food Holding and RusAgroTrans grain operator have negotiated a grain terminal project agreement. The construction of the largest Russian deep-water grain terminal is to begin at the port of Taman in a month, Gudok newspaper reported. The Gudok quoted a representative of the Efko and the first deputy general director Oleg Rogachev as saying “the agreement, which determines the two companies’ shares in the project and the volume of investments will be signed very soon”.

The companies did not go into details over the shares. The amount of investment (without infrastructure) is said to be some 6 billion rubles.  The line of credit for the terminal construction has reportedly been opened in Sberbank.

Maximum annual capacity of the terminal will be from 6 to 8 million tons, projected capacity of the terminal elevator at 240.000 tons.
