Cargo turnover at Kaliningrad FSP up 80%, to 230.500 tons

Kaliningrad Fishing Sea Port FSUE (KFSP) increased its throughput to 230.500 tons of handled volumes, a 80 percent surge from January 2009, "Sea News" reports. Transshipment of oil products grew by 2.3 times, to 198.600 tons, volumes of rubble as much as 2.7 times, to 10.600 tons, of fish products - by 58%, to 5.700 tons. Mineral fertilizers volume rate remained at the level of January 2009 – 11.000 tons.

Kaliningrad seaport specializes in the transshipment of oil and petroleum products, liquid and granular fertilizers, as well as containers. Last year the Company reported it handled 2.5 million tons of commodities, a 20% decline from the previous year’s numbers.
