The Baltic Sea region will look differently in a few years over, said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Finnish President Tarja Halonen, the press service of the Russian Government reports.

According to Mr. Putin, the planned joint investments by the countries in environmental projects will change the Baltic Sea region for the better. The Russian Prime Minister highlighted the construction of sewage treatment plants in St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Kaliningrad.
