Oil exports via Primorsk port rise, 61.7% to the Netherlands

The Primorsk Commercial Port Authority posted its petroleum products volumes shipped via the oil terminal in 2009. The statistics show of the overall oil exports 46.176.000 tons, or 61.7 percent were transshipped to the Netherlands. The remainder of total exports fell on Finland, 11.295.000 tons of oil, or 15.1% and other lines, Sweden, Spain, France, Denmark and other countries.

Last year 74.895.000 tons of export oil were transshipped through the port.

Primorsky Commercial Port (PCP, Leningrad Region) is the largest oil terminal in Russia, specializing in transshipment of export crude oil onto sea-going tankers. The oil is transported to the port through pipelines. The Oil Terminal is the final link in the Baltic Pipeline System.
