Local authorities invite bids for contract this March, to have new border checkpoints build in Primorsky Krai (Territory). The construction of the border and customs control points should be completed before 2012 for APEC summit. The project is to be funded from the federal budget,  the regional administration press service reported citing the Primorksy Russian Border Services Agency Victor Elyutin.

During the APEC summit 2012 four border points, Pogranichny, Kraskino, seaport and airport of Vladivostok will be operating. Some temporary checkpoints are to be arranged as well to ensure smooth customs and border control procedures.
