Russian President Dmitry Medvedev called for top managers of Russian the energy industry to boost upgrading of fuel and energy facilities complex at a meeting on energy development, PRIME-TASS reports.

There is an urgent need, Mr. Medvedev said, for building new refineries, to produce high quality petroleum products, competitive in the world’s market.

"This should be the priorities all of our major companies", said Dmitry Medvedev. He reminded the audience that he had charged Vice Prime Minister Igor Sechin to work out such a project.
