FCC posts 110.000 tons of goods under a contract with Sakhalin SC

More than 110.000 tons of various commodities were transported in 2009 by First Cargo Company (FCC) via Sakhalin Railroad. The volumes were shipped under a contract between Vladivostok branch of FCC JSC and Sakhalin Marine Shipping JSC, signed in January last year, the FCC press service said.

Of overall traffic volume almost 90% were oil cargoes. The liquid bulk cargo were delivered in tanks by FCC for RN-VostokNefteProduct ltd., Khabarovsk Fuel Company, and PetroSakh ltd.

"Oil and petroleum products supplies to Sakhalin is a very important job, since the commodities are urgent for the island”, Victor Osipov, the head of the FCC’s Vladivostok branch said.

First Cargo Company JSC is the largest rail traffic operator in Russia. The company’s main founder and owner of its ordinary shares is state-run Russian Railways. FCC Vladivostok is servicing Far East, Sakhalin and Yakutsk rail lines in six Russian Federation regions: the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories, in the regions of Sakhalin and Amur, the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The company is a supplier of top local enterprises in the regional industries.
