Exports of fish and seafood caught by fishing vessels in the Primorsky Territory in the Russian economic zone in January 2009 amounted to 15.400 tons, or as much as 9.9 times over the same period last year. The revenue totaled $15.9 million, the regional Federal State Statistics Service (PrimorskStat) press release said.

In January 2009, exports of fish and seafood were reported at 137.2 tons, valued at $1.6 million.

The fish and seafood were exported to 6 countries. The major volumes were exported to Republic of Korea - $7.4 million (47%), China - $4.5 million (28.7%) and Japan - $1.9 million (12.1%).
