ACSP’s throughput up 44%, at about 131.000 tons this JanuaryFreight turnover at Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port in January 2010 amounted to 131.042 tons of various commodities making it a 44 percent rise over the same period last year, ACSP press release said. The company says it handled 3.313 tons of non seaborne cargoes (a slight 1% cut). Exports totaled 47.420 tons or as much as 8 times surge, as imports gained 31.7 percent, 46.650 tons, while cabotage cargoes fell 27.7 percent, at 33.650 tons.
Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port JSC is a diversified stevedoring company in the port of Arkhangelsk. It specializes in the transshipment of general cargoes, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metals, fertilizers, heavy-lift equipment, bulked cargoes. The port’s handling facilities allow annual handling volumes at 4.5 million tons. Last year’s throughput was reported at 1.345.900 tons.
