Afrikantov Experimental Design Bureau for Mechanical Engineering (Afrikantov OKBM, Nizhny Novgorod) has developed a conceptual design of RITM-400 reactor plant for Leader Icebreaker of 110-130 MW, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksandr Pakhomov, head of the design bureau’s department for development of marine nuclear reactor plants.
“Development of the detailed design is to commence in the nearest future,” said Aleksandr Pakhomov.
The design of Leader Icebreaker being developed by Krylov State Research Center is to be completed by the end of 2015.
