Russian Emergency Ministry has recommended the stevedoring companies and the Novorossiysk Port Authority to suspend their operations because of the impending hurricane, the regional Emergency Ministry said.

The strong wind, 3-m wave rough seas may hit the port of Novorossiysk on March 9. The emergency department said it did not rule out possible emergency situations, damages to the port and berths facilities and ships docked at the port.
