Zvezdochka Shipbuilding Centre's shipyard finalizes overhaul of two vessels

The Sevastopol based shipyard, a branch of Shipbuilding Cetre Zvezdochka has completed repair work and refurbishment on the ferry "Alexander Tkachenko" and the tugboat "Sevastopolets" under the scheduled drydocking and maintenance contract, the shiprepair, shipbuilding company said.

Since May 2015, the company has completed drydocking, maintenance of the tanker "Kostroma", the M/V "Artekovets", the tugboat "Kalamit" and other ship repair contracts, completed work on the brand-new submarine of the Black Sea Fleet "Novorossiysk".

Currently, the Sevastopol based shipyard continues the repair of  the tall ship "Khersones".

A subsidiary of Zvezdochka Ship Repair Centre in Sevastopol in December 2015 obtained a license of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to perform the repair of surface ships and submarines.

Sevastopol Marine Plant named after S. Ordzhonikidze (Sevmorzavod) was founded in 1783. The Government of Sevastopol and the United Shipbuilding Corporation on March 30, 2015 signed a Memorandum of Agreement for cooperation to revive the company. The branch of Zvezdochka Shipyard operates in Sevastopol specializing in shipbuilding, ship repair, in manufacture of onboard equipment / machinery and metal fabrication.
