The FESCO Transportation Group announces the appointment of Alexander Isurin as the Group’s President effective from 26 February 2016. Alexander, previously Senior Vice President for Commerce, will replace Konstantin Sokolov, who is stepping down as the Group’s President on the same date. On 25 February 2016, the Board of Directors of PJSC FESCO (the Group’s head company) adopted a special resolution to that end.
«We appreciate Mr Sokolov’s contribution to the Group’s development. His stint as FESCO’s President has brought about improvements in the efficiency of business processes along with the launch of cost optimisation and management centralisation programmes. We take this opportunity to wish Konstantin success and welcome Alexander Isurin as the Group’s new President. We believe that Alexander's profound understanding of the industry and FESCO’s corporate culture will help him succeed in adapting the Group to the new macroeconomic environment. Mr Isurin's primary task will be to update FESCO’s strategy and analyse growth opportunities focusing on highest-potential areas of modern logistics, including 3PL and 4PL services," said Ziyavudin Magomedov, Chairman of FESCO’s Board of Directors.
Alexander Isurin's experience in transportation and container shipping exceeds 15 years. He has been with FESCO since 2014, consecutively working as the Group’s Vice President and Senior Vice President for Commerce. Before joining the FESCO team, Alexander headed the Russian and Central Asian Office of MSC, a world leader in container shipping.
