MTG Dolphin continues building 3,500m3 TSHD for DEME

MTG Dolphin shipyard in cooperation with Royal IHC is building the 3,500 cbm Traling Suction Dredger Cutting for Belgian DEME Group. First steel-cutting for the dredger "Minerva" was held at the shipyard on February 4, 2016, the Bulgarian shipbuilder said in a news release.

This vessel has bigger capacity than the previously built dredgers in the Yard is the first TSHD powered by DF main engines (diesel and LNG).

The ship will be equipped with 80 cm suction tube, suitable for dredging to a depth of 30 m. the dredging material will be discharged through three bottom doors to a floating line or rainbow nozzle.
