Craneship LLC launches tugboat Tambey intended for operation at port Sabetta
On February 26, 2016 Craneship, LLC (Temryuk, Krasnodar Territory) launched tugboat Tambey intended for operation at port Sabetta.
According to Mustafa Kashka, Chief Engineer of FSUE Atomflot, the construction works under Portoflot project are ahead of schedule.
“Vessels for port Sabetta were to be put into operation on May 31, 2016 but due to professionalism of our contractors we will get the tugboats as early as in April”, said Mustafa Kashka.
On January 15, 2016, Craneship, LLC launched tugboat Pur within the framework of Portoflot project.
The capacity of the Arc 4 tugboats is 3.84 MW, speed in open water - 13 knots. Maximum draught – 4.93 m, length – 30.87 m, width – 11.2 m, crew - 10. Under the agreement signed with Yamal LNG, the tugboats will be deployed till 2040. The Pur and the Tambey tugs are to start their operation at port Sabetta in summer 2016.
Portoflot project implies the construction and operation of three ice-class tugs, one port icebreaker and one icebreaking tugboat. The vessels are under construction at Craneship LLC (Temryuk) and Vyborg Shipyard PJSC (Vyborg).
