    APM Terminals инвестирует в терминал TEC2 в Мексике $900 млн

    APM Terminals инвестирует в проект TEC2 по строительству нового глубоководного полуавтоматизированного терминала Lazaro Cardenas Terminal 2 в Лазаро-Карденас (Мексика) мощностью до 1,2 млн TEUs в год $900 млн, сообщает пресс-служба международного портового и терминального оператора.

    Отмечается, что расширение терминальных мощностей в Мексике будет способствовать росту местной экономики и положительно скажется на региональной и международной торговле.

    «Мы считаем, что инвестиции в экономический и торговый рост в Мексике является разумной бизнес-стратегией», - пояснил генеральный директор APM Terminals Ким Фейфер.

    Он объяснил желание компании инвестировать в расширение терминальных мощностей в стране тем, что «Мексика является не только второй по величине экономикой в Латинской Америке, но и одной из 15 лучших в мире производственных экономик, к тому же ставшей одним из пяти крупнейших в мире производителей автомобилей».

    В 2015 году общий грузооборот мексиканских портов составил 5,4 млн TEUs, что на 7% превышает показатель 2014 года. В прошлом году грузооборот в порту Лазаро-Карденас вырос на 6% - до 1,05 млн TEUs, уступая только Мансанильо (2,4 млн TEUs).

    После полного завершения проекта TEC2 длина причального фронта в порту увеличиться вдвое и составит 1,485 м. Парк причальных кранов-перегружателей будет увеличен с семи до пятнадцати. Более чем в два раза будет увеличен грузооборот и по планам может составить до 4,1 млн TEUs в год. Интермодальные железнодорожные перевозки свяжут терминал TEC2 с железнодорожной сетью США и с наиболее важными потребительскими рынками Мексики, обеспечивая 26% объема производства страны.

    После приобретения APM Terminals латиноамериканских активов у Grup Maritim TCB, к терминальной сети APM Global Network Terminal были добавлены операции в Пуэрто-Прогресо, на побережье Мексиканского залива в Мексике. В настоящее время терминальные активы APM Terminals в Латинской Америке включают два терминала в Колумбии, один в Перу, один в Аргентине, и четыре в Бразилии, а также новые терминалы в Кетцале (Гватемала) и Моине (Коста-Рика).

    Крупнейший портовый и терминальный оператор APM Terminals (головной офис — Гаага, Нидерланды) входит в состав A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S. Основным направлением деятельности компании является проектирование, строительство, управление и эксплуатация морских портов и терминалов, а также «сухих» терминалов в рамках своей сети терминалов, расположенных в 67 странах мира и включающей активы в 71 порту и более 160 внутренних терминалов. В компании работают 20,300 сотрудников. APM Terminals является также крупнейшим оператором портов и терминалов в Африке, управляющим 12 активами в 10 странах континента, в том числе перевалочных пунктов в Танжере, Марокко и Порт-Саиде (Египет). В настоящее время осуществляются проекты по расширению терминалов в порту Абиджан, Кот-д'Ивуар и Бадагри (Нигерия).
