New icebreaking tugboat Pur built for port Sabetta will arrive in Murmansk in May 2016
New icebreaking tugboat Pur will arrive in Murmansk in May 2016 and then set sail for port Sabetta, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Vladimir Arutyunyan, Head of FSUE Atomflot’s Headquarters for Maritime Operations, as saying at the international conference “Logistics in the Arctic” in Murmansk.
In the end of this week the ship will arrive in Novorossiysk and then will leave for Murmansk.
The vessel intended for providing a package of port services at port Sabetta was built by Craneship, LLC (Temryuk, Krasnodar Territory) within the framework of Portoflot project. The tugboat was launched on January 15, 2016.
The second tugboat of the series is to be delivered in a month.
The capacity of the Arc 4 tugboats is 3.84 MW, speed in open water - 13 knots. Maximum draught – 4.93 m, length – 30.87 m, width – 11.2 m, crew - 10. Under the agreement signed with Yamal LNG, the tugboats will be deployed till 2040.
