FSUE Rosmorport says it has signed an agreement of intent with PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port. The agreement inked today, June 16th, at the SPIEF (St. Petersburg International Economic Forum) specifies the conditions of participation in the project on construction and operation of a dry cargo area in Taman seaport.
The document was signed by Rosmorport Director General Andrei Tarasenko and NCSP Director General Sultan Batov in the present of RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov.
The project on creation of a dry cargo area at the seaport of Taman provides for construction of sea terminals for transshipment of coal, sulphur, metal, mineral and fertilizers as well as terminals for transshipment of oil-bearing and bean crops. The project has already been obtained the state expert approval and the state environmental approval. The port’s design capacity is 91.4 mln t including 46.7 mln t of the first phase which is to be completed by 2020.
The project is to be implemented through private-public partnership including signing of a concession agreement.
