Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant launches boom-laying boat Kapitan Mishin (photo)
Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant has launched the boom-laying boat Kapitan Mishin, the third in the series of six boats of Project А-40–2Б-ЯР, says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot). The series was ordered by the Directorate of the State Customer under Marine Transport Development Programmes (2010 – 2020) for Rosmorrechflot’s Sea Rescue Service. The Kapitan Mishin is registered at the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Project А40-2Б-ЯР was developed by Agat-Design LLC in cooperation with Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant PJSC.
The vessels of Project А40-2Б-ЯР are intended for transportation and installation of boom guards in sea coastal search and rescue areas, on the waters of the bays, inlets and seaports, to contain the spread of spilled oil products, to liquidate oil spills, to collect the spilled oil products into floating containers and their further towing to the reception points of shore or floating stations and also for the construction of oil-gathering orders.
