  Южная транспортная прокуратура взяла на контроль расследование уголовного дела по факту затопления судна Geroi Arsenala («Герои Арсенала»), сообщает пресс-служба надзорного ведомства.
  
  19 апреля 2017 года около 03:30 мск в Черном море в 14 милях южнее Керченского пролива (за границами территориального моря Российской Федерации, вне границ акваторий морских портов) затонул сухогруз Geroi Arsenala. Судно под флагом Панамы следовало из порта Азов Ростовской области в Турцию, перевозя пшеницу.
  
  На борту сухогруза находился экипаж в составе 12 человек - двух граждан России, девяти граждан Украины и одного гражданина Грузии.
  
  По факту крушения Краснодарским следственным отделом Южного СУТ СК России возбуждено уголовное дело по признакам преступления, предусмотренного ч. 3 ст. 263 УК РФ (нарушение правил безопасности движения и эксплуатации морского и внутреннего водного транспорта, повлекшее по неосторожности смерть двух или более лиц), признанное прокуратурой законным и обоснованным.
  
  Ход расследования уголовного дела взят прокуратурой на контроль.
  
  Кроме того, Новороссийской транспортной прокуратурой проводится проверка исполнения требований законодательства о безопасности плавания.
