    Парусник «Херсонес» прибыл в порт Сочи (фото)

    Учебное парусное судно «Херсонес» 26 апреля 2017 года вошел в порт Сочи, сообщили ИАА «ПортНьюс» в АО «Морпорт Сочи».

    Как сообщалось ранее, парусник примет участие в выставке SOCHI Yacht Show 2017, которая будет проходить с 29 апреля по 7 мая 2017 года. в ходе выставки все желающие смогут подняться на борт фрегата, познакомиться с его историей и экипажем, совершить экскурсию по судну. Кроме того, во время стоянки парусника «Херсонес» на борту будет открыта фотовыставка «Паруса России».

    На борту «Херсонеса» проходят практику 100 курсантов Института водного транспорта имени Г.Я. Седова – филиала Государственного морского университета имени адмирала Ф.Ф. Ушакова.

    Парусное учебное судно «Херсонес» построено в Гданьске (Польша) в 1989 году. Первоначально носило имя «Александр Грин», но по окончанию постройки, в честь 1000-летия крещения Руси, было переименовано в «Херсонес». Трехмачтовый фрегат «Херсонес» является одним из серии шести однотипных судов: «Дар Млодзёжи», «Дружба», «Мир», «Паллада» и «Надежда». Суда этой серии являются самыми быстрыми учебными парусниками в мире по классификации STI (Sail Training International). Парусник получил мировую известность в 1997 году, став последним судном, обогнувшим мыс Горн под парусами на выключенных двигателях.
