Port of Singapore throughput up 4.8% to 359.9 mln t in 7M’17
Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-July 2017 climbed by 4.8%, year-on-year, to 359.9 mln t, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 2.98% to 132.03 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 12.63% to 10.78 mln t.
The port’s container throughput climbed by 7.17% to 19.03 mln TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
