    На верфи группы Damen заложено научно-экспедиционное судно для Австралии (фото)

    На румынской верфи в Галаце (Damen Shipyards Galati, входит в группу DAMEN Shipyards) состоялась закладка нового ледокольного исследовательского судна-снабженца (ASRV), которое строится по заказу Австралии, говорится в сообщении нидерландской судостроительной группы Damen.

    В церемонии закладки киля принял участие заказчик судна - глава Австралийского Антарктического подразделения (AAD) Ник Гейлс. Примечательно, что под киль будущего судна по морской традиции были положены монеты, в том числе раритетная голландская монета 1642 года.

    Судно было заказано для Serco Defence - дочерней компании Serco Australia, которая в прошлом году подписала контракт с правительством Австралии на поставку, эксплуатацию и обслуживание судна.‎

    Строительством и оснащением судна займется верфь в Галаце, управление проектом будут выполнять инженеры ‎‎Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding в Нидерландах.‎

    Судно длиной ‎160 м будет выполнять многочисленные задачи в интересах Австралийского Антарктического подразделения (AAD). Оно предназначено для поставок топлива и необходимых грузов для географически удаленных исследовательских станций, поддержки вертолетных операций, снабжения береговых партий, работающих на отдаленных островах, для проведения картографирования морского дна и целого ряда научных мероприятий в Южном океане

    Как судно обеспечения ASRV имеет значительную грузоподъемность: вместимость до 96 TEUs нижних грузовых отсеков и площадка для 14 TEUs и шести 10-футовых контейнеров на корме, а также грузовую площадь выше вертолетного ангара и перед вертолетной взлетной площадкой. Это значительно больше в сравнении с грузоподъемностью действующего судна Aurora Australis, которое может перевозить всего 19 контейнеров. Таким образом, новое судно сможет завести за один рейс все необходимые грузы сразу на две антарктические станции Австралии.‎

    Помимо снабжения грузами трех постоянно действующих научных станций на антарктическом континенте и научно-исследовательской станции на о. Маккуори (шт. Тасмания, Австралия), куда завозится оборудование и персонал, судно ASRV будет осуществлять комплексную научно-исследовательскую деятельность. С этой целью судно будет оборудовано бортовой лабораторией (500 кв. м), в которой будут работать до 116 научных сотрудников AAD.‎ Судно будет оборудовано шахтой, опускным килем, эхолотом для получения батиметрических, научных данных, гидроакустической системой для обнаружения косяков рыб, гидрофонами и подводными камерами для проведения широкого спектра научных исследований в Южном океане и Антарктиде. ‎

    Австралийское Антарктическое подразделение (Хобарт, Тасмания), подчиняется департаменту окружающей среды и энергетики правительства Австралии. Ведомство проводит научные исследования в регионе и отвечает за поддержание стратегических, научных, экологических и экономических интересов Австралии в Антарктике. ‎

    Международная судостроительная группа DAMEN Shipyards Group (головной офис - г. Горинхем, Нидерланды) объединяет 40 судостроительных и судоремонтных верфей. Общая численность персонала компании по всему миру составляет 9 тыс. человек. Компанией построено на сегодняшний день более 6 тыс. судов по всему миру и ежегодно передается в эксплуатацию около 160 новых судов. DAMEN специализируется в проектировании и строительстве буксиров, катеров, патрульных, высокоскоростных и грузовых судов, земснарядов, судов для обслуживания морских платформ, судов для ликвидации аварийных разливов нефти (ЛАРН), фрегатов и мега-яхт.
