Composite Shipbuilding launches catamaran Pacifico Voyager 199 (photo)
Composite Shipbuilding LLC, implementing a project on building civil ships at the Free Port of Vladivostok has completed the construction of a new leisure vessel Pacifico Voyager 199, says press center of the Primorsky Territory Government.
According to Dmitry Voloshenko, Chairman of the investor’s BoD, the newbuilding is the largest catamaran in the segment of leisure yachts.
“The speed of this vessel in its basic configuration is 24 knots, which is about 44.5 km/h. The vessel’s specific feature distinguishing it among competitors is the wide range of suitable weather conditions and climate zones”, he said.
The range of products offered by Composite Shipbuilding LLC also includes catamarans of Pacifico Adventure 72 type designed together with Albatros Marine Design, a global leader in this area. Moreover, this year the investor has started working on a new ship, 12-metre long leisure catamaran the construction of which is to be completed in summer 2018.
In general, the company’s investment project implies the construction of a new generation civil ships for leisure voyages. With its status of a FPV resident, the investor can reduce the cost price of its product. Composite Shipbuilding LLC is currently looking into applying one more mechanism able to reduce the final cost of it products - free customs zone.
An agreement of intent to implement the project on construction of a shipbuilding center in Primorye was signed at EEF-2017 by Primorsky Territory Government and Dmitry Voloshenko, founder of Composite Shipbuilding LLC. Composite Shipbuilding LLC is going to build more than 120 vessels within the Free Port of Vladivostok between 2017 and 2021. Among them the company will build high-speed passenger ships, vessels for transportation of cooled fish, water tourism complexes, facilities for water area monitoring and leisure catamarans. Investments into the project are estimated to make almost RUB 1.5 bln. Its implementation will let generate more than 500 new jobs.
Federal Law of the Russian Federation (No 212-FZ) "On the Free Port of Vladivostok" came into force on October 12, 2015. Free Port regime provides for a wide range of preferences and tax benefits.
As of today, 277 contracts have been signed with FPV residents in Primorye for a total amount exceeding RUB 250 bln and the plan to generate almost 29,000 jobs in the Primorsky Territory. 25 more applications for obtaining a status of FPV resident in Primorye are under consideration at the Far East Development Corporation.
