Port of Singapore throughput up 5.7% to 465.99 mln t in 9M’17
Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-September 2017 climbed by 5.7%, year-on-year, to 465.99 mln t, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 5.9% to 171.82 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 0.7% to 13.71 mln t.
The port’s container throughput climbed by 7.5% to 24.77 mln TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
