150 cadets of Pacific Higher Naval School practise operating on ships and submarines of RF Navy's Pacific Fleet
Within a month, fifth-year cadets are to practise the knowledge gained at their School and to receive command-and- methodical skills in their specialties, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Future officers are practising aboard the PF flagship Guards missile cruiser Varyag, major ASW ships and missile boats of the Primorye Flotilla of All-Arms Forces of the Pacific Fleet, at the marine formation in the Primorye Territory, and also on warships stationed in Kamchatka.
During the internship, cadets perform the duties in primary officer positions in their specialties. At the end of the internship they will pass tests to ship commanders and departments, which in turn will give a feedback for each cadet about his readiness to be appointed to an officer's post.
Since its foundation, the Pacific Higher Naval School named after S.O. Makarov have been graduated about 13,000 naval officers.
