    DP World протестует против захвата правительством Джибути терминала Doraleh

    Правительство Джибути незаконно установили свой контроль над контейнерным терминалом Doraleh, принадлежащим крупному портовому оператору из Дубая DP World. В сообщении DP World отмечается, что компания спроектировала, построила и, начиная с 2006 года, эксплуатирует терминал в соответствии с концессией, выданной правительством Джибути в 2006 году.

    Самый современный терминал является крупнейшим работодателем и крупнейшим источником поступлений в бюджет страны. С момента своего открытия предприятие ежегодно дает прибыль, говорится в сообщении DP World.

    По мнению портового оператора, незаконный захват терминала имел целью вынудить DP World согласиться с пересмотром условий концессии.

    В заявлении дубайской компании подчеркивается, что первоначальные условия концессии были признаны «справедливыми и разумными» в Лондонском международном арбитражном суде, а также известными английскими юристами.

    DP World уже подал иск в Лондонский международный арбитражный суд для защиты своих прав или возмещение убытков и компенсации за их нарушение или экспроприацию.

    Власти страны объясняют действия тем, что с декабря 2017 года правительство Джибути предпринимает усилия для соблюдения закона в отношении соглашения о концессии терминала, заключенного между DP World, Doraleh Container Terminal SA и правительством. Кульминацией спора стало требование перезаключить договор о концессии до 21 февраля 2018 года, и расторжении договора указом президента Джибути от 22 февраля 2018 года и конфискацией всех активов контейнерного терминала Doraleh SA.

    По договору DP World принадлежат 33% акций в порту Doraleh (Джибути). Проектная мощность терминала – 1,25 млн TEUs.

    DP World (Дубай, ОАЭ) является одним из лидирующих международных операторов морских терминалов и поставщик логистических и других услуг. Активы DP World включают более 65 морских терминалов в портах на шести континентах, включая действующие проекты по строительству терминалов в Индии, Африке и на Ближнем Востоке. Портовый оператор специализируется на перевалке контейнеров, этот бизнес генерирует более 3/4 доходов DP World. В 2013 году контейнерооборот по всей сети DP World составил более 55 млн TEUs. После завершения проектов по строительству и расширению совокупный грузооборот терминалов DP World к 2020 году может составить более 100 млн TEUs.
