    Карское море обладает большим потенциалом для развития арктического промысла - Росрыболовство

    Карское море является перспективным для ведения арктического промысла. Об этом шла речь в выступлении начальника управления науки и образования Росрыболовства Сергея Голованова на V Международной конференции «Рыболовство в Арктике: современные вызовы, международные практики, перспективы», которая проходит в Мурманске, сообщает пресс-служба Росрыболовства.

    В мероприятии принимают участие представители рыбохозяйственной отрасли Норвегии, Нидерландов, Исландии, российского бизнес-сообщества, отраслевой науки и органов государственной власти.

    В докладе Сергей Голованов отметил особенность Карского моря. «Это шельфовое море России, которое не соприкасается ни с международными водами, ни с зонами иностранных государств, что позволяет России принимать самостоятельные решения в отношении его запасов исключительно в интересах нашей страны», – пояснил начальник управления науки и образования Росрыболовства.

    Вместе с тем, специфика Карского моря не позволяет формироваться значительным биомассам промысловых запасов, сравнимых с объемами ресурсов Баренцева моря, однако, его экосистема благоприятна для некоторых арктических видов гидробионтов.

    Специалисты ПИНРО еще в 2013 году обнаружили в Карском море значительные запасы сайки, небольшие скопления мойвы, камбалы, ерша, синекорого палтуса и краба-стригуна опилио. По прогнозам ученых, величина возможного вылова сайки в Карском море в 2018 и 2019 годах может достичь 2 тыс. тонн. 

    Перспективы есть и в отношении промысла краба. В ближайшем будущем в Карском море ожидается рост численности краба-стригуна опилио, как это произошло раньше в Баренцевом море.

    В ходе конференции участники конференции обсудили перспективы развития промысла в Карском море и необходимость дополнительных исследований потенциальных запасов.
